Reggae fusion is a form of Reggae that mixes music from other forms other than Reggae. Forms like Jazz, Pop, Rock, and Techno as well as many other forms of music. Reggae fusion began around the late 1980s in North America, Jamaica, and Europe. This form of Reggae has gained increasing popularity in Jamaica since early 2000. Some of the typical instruments used in Reggae fusion are, drum machine, synthesizer, bass, melodica, sampler, drums guitar, organ and many other instruments.
There are many popular artists in the Reggae fusion world. One of the most notable is the singer Shaggy. Shaggy crossed over into the Reggae Fusion world and became very popular. His CD Hot Shot helped to make Reggae fusion more popular all over the world. Shaggy has introduced Reggae fusion into the United States as well as other parts of the world. Two of his songs It wasnt me and Angel gained worldwide popularity by being on the Top 100 billboard charts. This gave Reggae fusion even more sales and increased purchases all over the world.
